Your destination Highland Wedding would not be complete without a piper to play the bagpipes for your Wedding March. The Wedding Walk is the formal march taken by the wedding party to the place of the marriage ceremony. At Crear this is inside the studio with the floor to ceiling glass wall looking out to the Paps of Jura, outside at the wobbly wall or down on the sandy beach. Couples also have the option to marry in the local churches.
Preceded by a piper, the bridegroom traditionally leads the maid of honour while the bride walks behind with the best man. After the ceremony, the newlyweds leave followed by the best man escorted by the maid of honour.
To secure good luck it was traditionally thought that the wedding procession should cross running water twice. You can cross the bridge at Achahoish Church as well as the burn at Crear.
Your wedding piper in full Highland dress, will be with you to pipe the arrival of your guests from around 30 minutes before the start of your marriage ceremony right through your canapé reception & on to announce the start of your wedding breakfast.
